On 1 April this year, the IBPRS Institute welcomed scientists from the LAB University in Lahti and Lappeenranta, Finland. The event was attended by Saara Sammalisto Phd, and Sami Luste Phd, Chief Specialist in bio-based material cycles and circular economy. Representing IBPRS at the event were the Director, Dr habil. Marek Roszko, and seven scientists from three of the institute’s departments. Following the presentation, the scientists discussed the possibilities of bilateral cooperation. After lunch, the Finnish delegation visited Institute laboratories, where they familiarised themselves with the equipment in four different facilities. In the Fermentation Department, they observed the installations for the production of microbiological preparations on a semi-technical scale. The visiting scientists were impressed by the extensive range of laboratory equipment and the analytical capabilities of IBPRS.
